From another thread I created, different subject...
Maver1ck : We went yesterday and yes, it's expensive. We got there early and there was a line but nothing compared to the line when we left. We spent most of our time on the boat side because DH and DS were looking for a future purchase. The car side was really busy. They had RVs in the back and I wanted to look but there were way too many people in them. We enjoyed it. Good to get out of the house. 😉. Picture is the parking lot when we left.

@KanKan : Thanks for that...we went too. Not real busy going in but we got there about 10-ish. Leaving at 2-ish was bumper to bumper both ways, a steady stream...I would guess entry $$ was $1,000 @$20/per person. Wow. I liked all of it, very fun and interesting. My favorite classic car was the red Ford GT, woweeee. My favorite new vehicle was a white F350 Crew Cab Dually 4x4, if I had stupid money I'd want one of each but unfortunately, I'm not a rich person, hah. Lots of other beautiful vehicles of all types.

I really wanted to see the Boston Whaler boats...too much money for me, but fun to window shop. The Whaler I would buy if stupid money available was about $1million. Beautiful, and when you want the very best in small craft (under 43', a Whaler is my choice (I've owned used ones over the years)...Safety, Utility, Resale, shoot holes in the bottom and keep going...completely unsinkable.

We also looked at RVs, neat. I liked the toy hauler version the best...sleepable but you can drive a golf cart inside in the back. Very cool. Around $30k.

Vendors and folks were friendly (Chik-Filet and lots of small vendors/others) and nice interesting stuff and fun for the kids (grands) too. Really enjoyed it. $20 entry and $20 park was a lot I think but I'd probably do it again next year. Only thing I didn't like is paying $20 for an 8 year old and $20 for a 10 year old. They need to rethink that for future events.

@Maver1ck :
I know a guy here in Kingwood who is a car guy that has an original 1965 gt40. Very cool car! I met him when he bought a house I had built for another car guy. The garage of this house is a car guys dream. Although it only has 4 single garage doors and is meant to park 4 cars with plenty of clearance the footprint of the garage would allow 10 to 13 cars to be stored in it. It also has a 10'X10' storage room and a 12' work bench with upper and lower cabinets in enlarge hallway to a side patio area . It also has 13' ceilings so putting in lifts, which it has only one of now is easy to do. And the house ain't bad either with the back yard being on the golf course.but backnto the car......it is bad ***!!!

@Maver1ck: it's robbery to charge adult prices for children's entry! Way back years ago, kids under 13 got in free. That's the way it should be.

@Maver1ck : I'm sure we passed each other as those were the times we were there. lol I agree, that car is beautiful! I think $20 is too much for entrance when all you're doing is walking around looking at stuff. Oh my word, the four bottles Sprites were $27! I almost fainted! Lol

@mellen : That GT40 is beautiful. Reminds me of the movie Ford vs Ferrari!

There were two notable Boston Whalers...beautiful boats...one was nearly$300,000 (not a typo) and the other was over a million. Not something I could afford in this lifetime. And then there was a Mastercraft ski boat, nice but nothing special also almost $300,000...yep, for a ski boat.
