What's wrong with this plant?

What's wrong with this plant?

It's in my office. It was given to me after a co-workers dad passed in January. I water it every Monday and Friday and turn it at least once a week. I just cut off some ugly leaves and stems, but it looks so sad. Any advice? I don't have much experience with indoor plants.

Peace lily. I would move it into more light. Not direct but a brighter spot in the house.

Grow peace lily in a bright spot out of direct sunlight. Water regularly, keeping the compost moist but not wet. In spring and summer, feed fortnightly with a liquid house plant food. Deadhead spent blooms and dust or wipe the leaves regularly to ensure they photosynthesise well.Jun 17, 2021

Stick your finger( NOT the one you stabbed) in the dirt- if its wet and muddy then you are over watering. If its dry and dusty- you are underwatering. Look up the plant and see how much water it needs. Many house plants do not like their roots sitting in water. Many also like humidity so it may need to be misted

My guess is not enough light, but Ill ask my wife to look at it, she's an expert.

@Rolnwithmyhomie : It's jealous of the ones it can see growing outside! lol Seriously, what was wrong with the leaves you cut? Yellow, brown? crispy or slimy? Spots? What direction is that window facing?

@Labslady : Haha! I watered it again before I posted this message, but I just stuck my finger in it, and I wouldn't say it's muddy, but the soil stuff got under my nails. It's in front of that big window...There really isn't any other place that has different sunlight, Well, there is...this window gets the direct morning sun.

@Rolnwithmyhomie : Is it getting the fertilizing plant food? I'd do that asap. Especially if there's good indirect light and watering schedule is good soil wise.

@ZMAN : Oh, that would be great. It's in front of a huge window that gets direct sunlight in the mornings. It's been fine until last week. It just looks so puny now.
