Baldrick : Did I say no one should post after moving?

@mutton :
No you didn't say no one should post after moving. You questioned why someone would post on here after moving. I can tell you why. If this was their home at one time they may want to see how things are going. That is why I would want to post after moving. I think since this person saw a post about a crime in the area, he/she felt the need to comment since that seems to be the reason they moved.

mutton : I plan on moving in the next few years and I would hope I would still be welcome here. We are lived here for 39 years and raised our children here.

@CC1974 : You would be just as others have moved away and still post,This person may have posted under a different name when they lived here before or not. I agree with mutton it just seems unusual that they joined just as this thread was going.

She questioned why, she did not say they shouldn't. She also questioned it in context to a specific line of posting. Legit question.

@peppermintstick :
I think lots of people lurk. Since they saw a thread about a crime, they may have wanted to comment since that seems to be the reason they moved. I don't see that as unusual at all. If I were lurking and saw a thread that caught my attention and felt I had something to add I would join and comment.

Ruger5 : This had to be an extremely desperate person. However, I guess you could say very short-sighted and/or stupid would be an accurate desription as well. A fellow banker, without a mask , knowing he's on video ? I'm wondering if someone fitting the same description isn't responsible for this crime.

@Cynophilist : Anything is possible, but ask yourself this, who jumps in a random car in the middle of the day with other cars around? That just doesn't happen. That guy knew there was a large amount of money in my car. Black man with a beard stands next to me during my entire transaction, we both leave at the same time, Witness said a Black man with a beard just jumped in your car and grabbed a blue bag, and of course my purse too. Coincidence? Doubtful, But we shall see. I turned onto the substation Street, where there are street cameras, so hopefully police can gain access to those and if they can see who was driving behind me which we do have a description of car just not a license plate. I know we won't recover the money but We sure would like to see whoever did it behind Bars where he belongs.

I kind of wonder how prevalent jugging really is. They follow people who take out cash, so I wonder how many attempts are unsuccessful, like times when they are following someone and lose them in traffic or pull into a secured area. I would think there would be way more unsuccessful attempts than successful ones. I always have my head on a swivel when dealing with cash.

@Baldrick : Very. And I've heard that Houston in Miami are the two biggest jugging cities in the nation.

A few years ago an elderly woman withdrew $9,500 from inside the bank and the teller asked if she wanted someone to escort her out. She said "no thank you dear" however I made sure she went to her car safely without anyone noticing her. Too many thug knuckleheads out there up to no good!

@Ruger5 : Anyone who wants to research there are hundreds of sites, it's bad across the nation and getting more violent.

@Ruger5 : It sounds like he watched your transaction and even if not a bad guy but desperate he decided you would be his savior (well, your money). He figured it the crime of opportunity. From what I read, it sounds like you left the vehicle for a short time and he was happy you left it unlocked. Honestly, had you not left it unlocked, I would fear he would have taken it in your driveway by force. You very well were protected. You life is worth much more than he got and now he has to live with it. That being said, I hate thieves.

@Ruger5 : It is, hard to catch them and not really any repercussions from the legal areas.

All this being said, you make your own decisions about where you live. In Kingwood you have very little agency over your government. You're just part of millions in the vast sprawl of corrupt Houston and Harris County. I've decided to move my family out of state to a nice small rural town. Crime is non existent. Whether you consider it good or bad certain minorities are not present here either. For me I prefer to live without the crime. Look...not all snakes are bad. Some are very beneficial. But I prefer to avoid them altogether rather than trying to determine which ones are safe and which one might hurt me.

@Expatkingwood : Who are you referring to when you talk about snakes?
