Suspicious gray suv parked outside my neighbors house for over 15min with the car running. When finally approached, it was a Hispanic couple claiming to be "smoking". They had to be asked to leave.
I'm just posting to spread awareness. With car break ins, ppl stealing Christmas decorations, stalking someone in their house, anything can happen. I'm not trying to be a Karen here. If there was a random car I didn't recognize parked outside my house for long, I'd worry and question it too.

be Very careful about approaching people in a car; you have no idea what Else is in that car,with them. They were not doing anything illegal (depending on What they were smoking?), but I do understand your concerns. You can always call the Non Emergency line, and report them.

Maybe someone was lost or talking on the phone and they don't use the phone while driving. Maybe they were waiting on your neighbor.
I don't think I'd approach my neighbors house and ask someone sitting in their car what they were doing. I may keep an eye out to make sure no illegal action was going down, but not approach. I am not block watch and my life means something to me.

All nearby neighbors in that area were not waiting on that car and that street is far off from main streets to just "pull over" to get on the phone. I'm just sharing this to spread awareness for neighbors in kingwood is all.

@beadweaver : Yes....I would not approach either. Maybe write down the license #.
I pull over sometime to talk on the phone....

It's a new world and I don't pick up hitchhikers anymore and I don't walk up to cars legally parked or engage with crappy drivers on the interstate !

We run an insurance adjustment business and often after leaving a client's home will pull over to either take a few notes, enter something into the computer or make a call. Could sit for 20 minutes easy. Better to pull over in a neighborhood when it's all highway and no large shopping center etc to pull into.
I'm just saying a lot of people are just minding their business, doing their day.
It's good to be aware, but please be careful approaching strangers cars. Sometimes they may think you are up to no good since they have no business with you. Or they could be the bad guys you don't want to know you.

I use to do this when i was doing GiG work as a driver for those crap apps. I would just drive a couple houses down after doing the drop off, then start declining all the bad orders until I got a decent one. I only had one person check me for it. She was taking pics and everything.

@a997 I wish you would have came out to my car and asked me what I was doing and then asked me to leave because I would've stayed there all night long with my car running. The street is public. I can come and park in front of your house right now if I want to and sit there all day and night.

You should be able to respectfully chat with someone parked in your neighborhood. It doesn't mean they have to answer questions either but just saying hi will reveal a lot while also letting criminals know eyes are on everyone.
