San Jack flood warning + thunderstorm tonight * First off, we'll see some pretty loud storms come thru tonight from the west between midnight and 4am. (Full forecast below) ...... San Jacinto flood warning until next Monday. * Lake Conroe is currently 2+ feet above normal so the west fork of the San Jack is under a flood warning, which includes areas in Humble. * After Saturday the river will fall back to a normal range. ......... * Kingwood has received a very beneficial 3.75" of rain so far. Wednesday night and Thursday forecast: * Sometime between about midnight and 4 am, a broad line of showers and thunderstorms should push from west to east across the Houston region. * There will be plenty of sound and fury, but the good news is that these storms should keep moving. *I expect they will have cleared the area by around 4 to 6 am, so I don't anticipate them posing a problem with getting out and about on Thursday morning. (Getting solid sleep on Wednesday night might be a problem, however, for those light sleepers among us.) *In terms of accumulations overnight, I expect we'll see some heavy rainfall, but due to storm motions I'd only anticipate accumulations of 0.5 to 1.5 inches. Thursday: * We should see partly sunny skies on Thursday, with highs of around 70 degrees and some drier air-so pretty darn nice out. * The region will see another chance of showers (likely with minimal accumulations) later on Friday ahead of a stronger front. * This will usher in several days of sunny skies and much drier air. * By Saturday morning we'll be done with the rain for awhile.

@StormChaser : Thanks friend!

@StormChaser : yes, it's high. I just drove over it. So are the drainage ditches throughout downtown Houston. No flooding in the MedCenter area but those ditches are full.

@Rocklady2020 :
I've become very spoiled we had clouds and rain Sun, Mon and Tues and I was whining. I've gotten used to sunny skies ( 300 days/year). But just remember all those rainy days are catching y'all up on the drought

@StormChaser :
Thanks for the info; I thought we were done for the night. But nooooooo.... :o Looks like Coldspring and Waller are doing a 2 hour delay, to avoid the area flooding, there. North of us, but not That far. Fox is live there, raining still.

@StormChaser :
I hope that won't translate to power outages! Otherwise it should be good sleeping weather. I'm a weirdo because I've enjoyed these rainy days. Very peaceful. Good cooking weather.
Thanks for the updates!
