Ms Jane3 part Sand Creek closer to HEB did flood in Harvey BUT anything from about Forest Garden back to Mills Branch stayed high and dry.
I also recommend flood insurance because you never know. In Imelda my neighbor flooded but no one else on my street did. Welcome to KW. We loved Sand Creek so much when we lived there

I've lived in Sand Creek east of Forest Garden for 20+ years and have never experienced any flooding.

to give insight, the # 5 had 8ft of water in my riverfront home, and #8 had 3 ft of water in my home, #1 had 20ft. It may get up over Hamblen rd this time, but that's about it.

Road washed out at highway 90 and crystal lake west in Polk County. Caused by beavers.
Lake Conroe is closed due to release. Still raining here.

The usual problem is the bridge over the San Jac being underwater, and, therefore, im passable. You can go 'out and around'if you really Have to go to Humble; across the Lake Houston Bridge, and down 1960 to Humble, but just better to plan to stay in your area, and not go over that way for a day or two, once the rain fully quits, and the water will recede.

it will rise, before it recedes, but I know they are doing the let offs. That is Such a dangerous body of water; storms like this, and the water surges cause 'suck holes' that remain. Those are found under the surface, and you have no idea you are In one, until you are pulled down. I am always praying, when I cross the bridge in the warmer months, and see families swimming there. There are warning signs, but....
