@Weathergirl5 : I go that way regularly and the other day it looked even higher and was just nasty looking with green stuff all over it.

@Weathergirl5 : Lake Conroe is the same (normal pool), since no water is being let out of the dams at either Lake Houston or Lake Conroe.

Texas waterways are always so ugly.

@SandyKnee : The rivers in the eastern half of Texas look like every other river draining sandy soil into the Gulf.

Now, head west a little into the hill country, and you can find some beauties.

@KanKan : I have seen the green stuff (I am assuming algae) on the water ways in KW going over KW Drive. I had not noticed in the San Jacinto River though but it is probably algae as well. I am still just surprised the water level is that high.

@Weathergirl5 : To me, the river appears to be at its normal height. If you zoom in to @KanKan's picture, it seems about normal.

@KanKan : I thought that looked like the San Jac. In spite of the lack of rain, Houston isn't experiencing water shortages as the reservoirs are full (Lakes Houston, Conroe, and Livingston).
