This is sad. My DS use to love to watch the Power Rangers. Prayers for his family

Used to train BJJ at his school way back in the day. He would come roll with us some. Even lifted with him at Lifetime for a while. Cool dude but always had some level of drama in his life. In fact we left Rising Sun cause him and our instructor had a huge falling out. Anyway hate to hear this. I knew he had a daughter at Deerwood Elementary with my daughter who is now 14 but have not seen or heard from him in years. In fact I don't know if Rising Sun is still open? I figured he moved back to LA.

My daughter watched that show.
He was her favorite. I stood in line for hours at the Mall to get the action figures and was verbally attacked by a woman who was mad because I got there before she did. There was only one pink and one yellow Ranger and I got them.

@donnatella : Well that is so sad. Suicide is really hard on the family and friends.

@TexasTideFan : The Boy took karate there, back when the only location was in Summerwood. He and his wife were nice people, but he was more than a bit intense. Very ambitious and a work horse. I know he opened a KW location, and moved from Atascocita to KW years ago. Very sad to hear this news.

@WTF : So sorry to hear this. . .especially around the holidays. I guess he lives/lived in Kingwood.

I once saw his house at Kings Lake Estates in Kingwood a few weeks after Hurricane Ike. May he rest in peace. Prayers for his wife and children. 🙏🙏🙏✝

@donnatella : More than a bit intense is actually a very good description of JDF. I met him at his main gym in Atascocita on Lake Houston maybe 2007'ish where we all trained but knew he had schools at one time in Summerwood and at the front of Kingwood. He had amazing skill as a MT fighter/instructor. His leg kicks were devastating. Makes me cringe thinking of them right now. However that intensity would get him caught in a lot of submissions on the mat doing jits. Like I said I absolutely hate to hear this news. I'm just afraid that guy lived with a lot of demons that looks like eventually got to him.
