Recent snakes!

I've got three kids (4,9,11) and we like to go find snakes... finally made it to East End park this week, not sure what took me so long, that's a great park. We also like to hit up Sheldon Lake and the Lake Houston Wilderness park.

I saw a texas coral snake on the trail in forest cove yesterday.
Looked just like this one.

I don't care for snakes myself, but have to admit that some, like the Ribbon one and the Coral one are pretty.

I know all snakes are not bad but after some close encounters with copperheads, water moccasins, and rattlers, I just steer clear of all of them!

I am a big snake person - I have great respect for them and understand their contribution to the ecosystem.
My boys (son / husband) are not snake peeps and feel that the only good snake is a dead snake.
