@Ruger5 :
these mofo's never cease to creep us out. I can remember a copperhead getting on our attic, and when my Mom went to pull down the steps to the attic, the snake fell, and touched her arm, as he fell by. Big screams ensued, and my Mom NEVER touched those stairs, again! :0

In nearly related advice:

With all this flooding, all the greenbelt critters are on the move. Watch your pets when they're out in your yard if you're along the greenbelt and especially if you're by the creek. My dogs have been bitten by copperheads. Luckily they're bigger so they were only uncomfortable for a while. Be safe y'all.

@LittleTexas :
I'd have to either move or burn the house down. That's nuts.

@luannski : Well I hope he's right! But I posted this from a guy not prone to post before verifying. Last thing we need is an insect plague.

@Ruger5 :
Snakes keep a lot of things under control. Everything has a function in nature.

It's mainly oak trees, and @steveT is right. We're not in the regions getting the plethora of cicadas.

@Donnawisdom : True, but good to know what to look out for. The thought of running into a snake - shudder!
