@tiffani : Because the lines that bring power in to the Kingwood villages run through narrow strips in the greenbelts, lined by tall trees. When we get high winds, it blows trees and limbs and they hit the power lines. It's not because of "old" equipment.

Still no power for us. They say it will be 10Pm tonight before it's back. I believe this is a sign that I should just go shopping until at least sundown. 😊

@QueenB : Are ya'll Centerpoint or Entergy up that way? Probably a bunch of trees down as I think you got more wind and rain than we did further south here.

@buffaloglenn: We are Entergy but they are usually quick on restoring power. No power is no big concern for me….it's a good excuse not to work. "Oh my, it's so hot in here, I can't possibly mop a floor or clean a shower!!" 😂
