Dang! This is the second one I read of today. Sounds like the Precinct is doing great and some should stay on patrol there. Humble police should patrol the mall (Primarily Dick's Sporting Goods). I'm seeing BOLO surveillance of thefts there. I've also heard about Ulta and Home Depot. These people just think they can walk in, shop, steal and take their chance of being busted for granted or just don't care.

@Airborne319 : Probably and not the first time for most. If they're not caught, they get the merchandise ($) and if they are caught, inconvenience of getting booked, bond out for $10 bucks out of pocket, and possibly a later court date. Then, they are back @ it. Probably get away with it more than not. Pathetic!

@Airborne319 : Porter is in Montgomery County. They do prosecute offenders up there.

@dan4182 : Your nitpicking. The point is the reason crime is getting worse in the whole area is because COH/Harris County refuses to prosecute not just petty crime but also felonies and violent crime. It is a sad fact that there are more criminals lose out there and when the cops bring them in, they immediately get out on a no cash bond.

I was at Costco the other Day when a couple people tried to get out one of the side doors. I was actually surprised their security went after them and caught them. I actually did not know they had plain clothed security there. The walk of shame walk back into the building was lets just say wonderful to watch.

@Kemibe : Don't for get about the thugs in the parking lots. Have you ever left a store to discover your car is gone? It's not a good feeling. Humble is a pit! Porter is too!

Husband watched manager and asst manager at Heb standing at door last night waiting on people to pass. Then one customer came out and they both went after him. He had to pass the line so they could say he exited without paying. I guess he was observed in the store taking stuff but they had to wait for him to leave to catch him.

@Airborne319 : It's not nitpicking, crimes have to be ajudicated by the courts in the area where they occur.

I do agree that the uber lenient bail and sentencing policies of the dem judges in Harris County has caused the criminals to think they can get the same treatment in other counties,

They're wrong in that regard.
