Porter High School Students Compete as National Finalists in Samsung's "Solve For Tomorrow" Challenge
Samsung's "Solve For Tomorrow" contest, aimed at raising awareness around pressing community issues and fostering the next generation of socially responsible leaders, has selected a group of Porter High School students as national finalists. These students have developed a cutting-edge beehive monitoring system, HiveHub, and are competing for a chance to win up to $100,000 in Samsung technology and classroom resources for their school.
The innovative project, HiveHub, is an advanced beehive monitoring solution that can track hive traffic, climate, and activity. It's good to see Porter HS team made the final. My son and his team at Porter HS competing in this program in 15 & 16, but never made it this far. But Samsung didn't forget about them. They hired my son and one of his teammates right out of college to work for them as their engineers in Austin. Samsung brought this up during their interviews with them. 4951
@TownHubAdmin : Awsome, this is really important work. I think last year Porter came up with a sound device that indicated the location of a shooter in a building through sound waves and colored light indicators. Damn smart young folks ! 4951
