We require a county license in Colorado. If the pet gets loose and picked up by animal services, theyll charge you $200 if the pet isn't licensed in the county. Ours is $10 a year and we put it with the rabies tag on our doggos collar 4951

If you spay/neuter your pet, the license is only $20. Why would you not want to do it? If the dog gets lost, it gives a way to find out who owns the dog and lets people know it is not a stray and that it has had its rabies shots. 4951

@Txbutterfly : It was your choice before Houston annexed Kingwood. Now we may call ourselves Kingwood, but we are really the City of Houston.. . That's hard for me to remember sometime... 4951

W ell that is just lovely. I have lived in Houston for 74 years and this is news to me. I guess they will come out and pick up our pets when they confiscate our weapons!!!! Do we have to have a licensee for our birds, lizards etc.?
The city can't control the speeders and stop sign runners on Brook Shadow Drive and now we have vagrants living on the trails. Maybe they will come up with a license police department for animals / vagrants. They they can also patrol for vagrants while they look for pets. No more soap box today 4951
