I have one very similar under my stairs . It has a little sink and folding doors that close it off. I turned it into a coffee bar because there isn't enough drinking around here for a bar.
But it's nice when I have brunch and serve mimosas because I have the coffee and tea there as well.
When the doors are closed you can't tell there is anything there because it blends in with the painted panels of my family room.
