@Happy2BMe : For me....Optimum goes out about 4 times per week, lasting about 2 minutes in the early morning. Worse when we have bad weather. I am only staying for the price. . .$37 monthly vs Tachus $65 however, they are ....ON MY LAST NERVE!

It did come back on eventually. Still going to switch. I know the the original company, Kingwood Cable, had a contract for exclusive rights with Friendswood. Does anyone know how long it is for? Just curious.

Tachus is the way to go. Even with their slowest speed it's pretty awesome.

I work for Optum as i call it . When harvey happened they never replaced any of the flooded out taps. The taps are in the green pedestals in certain back yards . When the tap floods it causes problems such as intermittent service. They usually only change them out if it's real bad. Optum really does suck tho. Be glad you don't live in huffman. Huffman people hate suddenlink/optum more than kingwood/new caney folk. In most parts of new caney and huffman all you can get is a max of 150 mbps down with around 8 mbps up. They don't care about the customer or their workers. That's why they outsource most of their reps to the third world, to keep their millions in profits. Google reviews is 1.5 stars out of 5 . Go figure!

@Happy2BMe : contract is nada now, but the timetable is how long it takes for Tachus to decide your area is economically viable or nonoptimum decides to fade into obscurity.
