@Ray : Yep. Learned the value of that when I was very young. Graduated to a spray bottle. Where could you even find one these days? Younger peeps don't iron their clothes - they wear wrinkles.

@Ray : We couldn't afford to use a returnable bottle becasuse one of us kids would take it to return for the money. My mom used a ketchup bottle.

@Texas1965 : We didn't have coke bottles - coke was bad for your teeth. Vinegar botle was used.

@Ray: Yep, I remember watching my mom iron using that to sprinkle water on clothes..And believe me, she ironed everything! (Well, not underwear) HaHa!
