Okay I know I'm a Christmas nut

But how many other people take pics of their decorations so they can remember how they set everything up 11.5 months from now when Christmas comes around again.

I even take room level pics day and night and close ups of trees, garlands, and wreaths. There is no way I can remember all this stuff a year from now.

Its not about the money that it costs, its about the joy that it brings to the grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Its also about the chance once a year to make sure that my expended family hears about Jesus birth and his ultimate sacrifice to take our sins on him so we might have a chance at eternal salvation.

I do this as an investment in family. Someone in the family has to lead. My wife and were both oldest kids. We are used to the role. This feels that it was meant to be.

@Airborne319 : It's so smart. I didn't take a pic of my decor last year for the first time in a long time (I usually do but I didn't have much Christmas spirit last year) but I bought a TON of new decor this year. I tried looking through old pictures to see what I have to make sure the new stuff meshes perfectly with my old stuff but since I hadn't taken pics last year it was just a pain. It's also nice to reflect on all of that hard work. Your setup is beautiful.

I actually change it up a little every year. We did take pictures this year but not for that reason

Actually, I do the same thing. Also I have a nativity set that I photo before removing from the box as the pieces only fit a specific way.

Whatever brings you peace, comfort, and happiness-do you! Love the pic.'s/decorations. I aspire to be there one day when I get most of mine out of storage.
I think the lights on tree and garland brings me just happiness.

Yea I would take pics of how things were set up both in Kingwood and Ohio because I couldn't remember what went where. I didn't this year because it's our first Christmas in the house and I'm not sure I'll do the same thing next year. Things definitely got thrown off because we don't have a fireplace or mantle so all those decorations had to go somewhere else
