I have been working on a project and not pay I g attention to DH doing a puzzle. Today I noticed this, I don't think I have ever seen a puzzle put together like this before 4951

As a kid, I loved making puzzles and that's exactly how I did it. Of course you start with the border pieces. Is there really any other way that makes sense? 4951

@Spork : and then you sort the other pieces by color and work on one section at a time 4951

Yes, but I dump it all out first.
Turn all the pieces over and pull out the edges.
I don't have patience to sort thru and find all the edges first! 4951

@Txbutterfly : I didnt know that's what you meant. I thought he had just cleaned up..his way is NOT OCD. Its random ..you may be a little though.. 4951

Yes, but I dump it all out first. Turn all the pieces over and pull out the edges. I don't have patience to sort thru and find all the edges first!

I sort them from bottom box and toss into lid, never dump all!!! 4951

I can't even think of starting until the edges are in one pile and the rest of the pieces are in their own color or object coordinated pile. 4951

The black cat was awesome to work on. There were of course the whiskers, eyes, nose and mouth areas. Also different tones of the black. 4951

My last puzzle was about 90% complete when the cat decided to slide it off the table. It's back it it's box now, with pieces missing, never to be completed. 4951
