Missing Juvenile / Runaway - Austin Nauert

Austin was last seen leaving his residence on Breezy Lane in Porter on March 18, 2023, wearing a red sweatshirt. Austin is possibly in the Kingwood area.

If you know the whereabouts or have any information on Austin, please contact the Montgomery County Sheriffâ€™s Office at 936-760-5800 and refer to case #23A080724.

@TownHubAdmin : I saw someone walking last night down Brook Shadow/ Woodland View Drive wearing a red shirt/sweatshirt. The red caught my eye and I'm pretty sure it was a male. About 9:15PM on 03/22 (Weds). He was walking in the direction towards the Greentree park/pool area. Praying he is safe and found soon!

I have seen a few signs saying I love you Austin - offering food and a hot meal.
I have also read that there have been sightings of Austin.

I have to ask why would Austin leave home and why does he not want to return to his home?
Obviously, he has family that cares for him.

@Touche : My son ran away because he didn't want to clean his room and mow the grass. He was 16 at the time.

@luannski : WOW! Kids think the smallest things are a big deal. Is your son grown now? If so, I wonder how he feels about going to work, cleaning house, and cooking everyday. I think it has to be the hormones at that time in their lives. They look like a man but their brains have not developed enough to be a man.

Seems like he'd be pretty easy to spot with that hairstyle unless he's wearing a cap or hoodie.

Teens can be dramatic. He could have over dramatized the story and has people giving him "a safe space." We all saw that the last couple of nights on the news with the SCHS teacher getting a room for a student for 3 days after hearing about trouble at home.

Either way, him staying elsewhere is a much better outcome than the unspeakable.

Donatella: I don't know the whole story, but they alluded to an inappropriate relationship with the student. Did the teacher really just get them a hotel room?

@Summerbreeze: They got him the room for three nights, and spent at least one night with him in the room, according to his mother and the news report. Even if nothing happened, getting the room and being there was beyond inappropriate.
