Hiding Your Boyfriend Doesn't Pay Off
From: Kenneth “Rowdy†Hayden, Montgomery County Constable Precinct 4
On 3/9/23 Pct. 4 Deputies noticed a vehicle in a driveway at a residence in the 19200 blk of Forest Lane Circle, New Caney, TX that belonged to a subject wanted by Montgomery County for a felony charge of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.
Upon contact at the residence, Deputies met siblings, Cheyenne and Joshua Brawner, who both adamantly stated the wanted subject was not there. Deputies warned that hiding a subject wanted for a felony could be grounds for their own arrest for felony Hindering Apprehension or Prosecution of a Known Felon. Again, both stated the suspect was not in the home.
As the investigation continued, Deputies learned the siblings knew the suspect was in the home and that the suspect knew law enforcement was outside waiting. After a short amount of time, the wanted suspect turned himself over to the Deputies, as did the brother and sister; it was then discovered that the female was also the girlfriend of the wanted suspect.
In Custody:
Cheyenne Brawner, 23 years of age from New Caney, TX – 3rd Degree Felony - Hindering Apprehension of a Known Felon
Joshua Brawner, 31 years of age from New Caney, TX – 3rd Degree Felony - Hindering Apprehension of a Known Felon
Javier Martinez, 32 years of age from New Caney, TX – 2nd Degree Felony - Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon
