Starting later is best for me since I fear more homeschooling. Should we need to homeschool in September I'll be fine, at least I don't have to worry about until then. They've had plenty of time off to forego the 2 extra weeks. 4951

@king713 : I have the same opinion. Get rid of the extra breaks, keep the same last day of school. Start later. 4951

I'm sorry I need to get off of here & social media. I need to stay away lol. This house about lost 💩today after all of this. We are going w sept 8 bc for us it doesn't matter about the breaks bc mine never get the breaks anyway w sports & uil. & agg. Y'all do what's best for your family but I call bs on all this. I think she will try again to push it back so our reason for this to choose in person bc of we all choose online I think they will go ok online from now on. I'm done peace out I have to go to work in a week lol 4951

@IzzysMommy :
Yes, I have a very busy job although I'm working remotely it requires my full attention. I would actually enjoy homeschooling them if I didn't have my work responsibilities. During the Spring I did great homeschooling 3 elementary level kids but it was very stressful juggling all of it. 4951

I choose the later start date. I think it would be too disruptive to start online and then change in midstream. Besides that, since my DH and I both work, the late arrivals are always a pain. 4951

If kids can't go on campus until September might as well have them start online August 11th.

@Momof2boyz : Exactly! Let's get this year started on time! Besides, if Hidalgo gets her way they won't even get on campus in September. 😡 She's wanted to push until October so she'll just renew this order. 4951

I feel like they screwed the survey up. There should have been a preliminary question asking if you were planning on home schooling or attending class. Then they could get rid of the 30% that wanted home school anyway. If we are being all caring, please vote to start school later (no online) for the high number of two income families. Not sure why they can't add 30 minutes to the school day and make up the time missed either. 4951
