New deer head

New mount, just picked it upâ€¦â€¦.. wife sure is happy about it. Now I gotta find a spot to put it ðŸ˜Š

@Tumu_ : I just saw a deer missing one side of his antlers. I hope no one shoots him cause he's probably already been through enough hard times.

I personally could not do it. Such beautiful creators. Not that I don't shoot or wouldn't hunt if the need arose. But not for pleasure. I however have no problems with hunters being hunters!

@SandyKnee : Hes a babyâ€¦â€¦. Super young. Looks like one side just fell off and he hasn't lost his other side yet

It's a sport deeply rooted in my family @dsgnrone...we never hunted doe's until we were required to. We also never took young bucks...and we always used/ate everything we killed. I don't hunt as much as I once did...it was something I loved to do with my Father but I will be teaching my children!

@luannski : It's called a wall pedestal mountâ€¦.. when mounted on the wall it looks like this.

@Tumu_ : Nice Axis. I just got mine back as well. Same mount too but not as big as that one. That's a stud. I also have zero wall space and I refuse to hang mounts in my garage so I did a pedestal mount. It's a Jerry rig setup I built from stuff at Lowe's off looking at pedestal mounts off the internet. Turned out pretty good and only cost me about $50 in supplies.

Oh yeah, took the oldest out back before we left the north....taught him how to hold a gun and the rules for using a gun...gave him 6 bb's and set the target up about 10 yards away @Tumu_ ...not too shabby for a first time!!!
