No mail delivery Wednesday, December 5th in memory of President

There will be changes to the mail delivery on Wednesday, December 5th in memory of President Bush 41. All post offices will be closed as well. There will be "limited" package delivery.

"President Trump has proclaimed Wednesday, December 5, 2018 as a National Day of Mourning in remembrance of former President George H.W. Bush.

To honor President Bush for his vast contributions to public service during his lifetime, the U.S. Postal Service will observe a day of mourning and will suspend regular mail delivery and Post Office/retail services on Wednesday, December 5." - www.usps.com

I think that is a bit overboard too. Why should they get a day off and everyone else have to work? It should be a national holiday if that's the case.

Won't make much difference in Kingwood except that we will not get even more of our mail on Thursday. 4951

I thought that was ridiculous giving the postal workers the day off! They do not do their job as it is! The mail will pile up and they will be overwhelmed and probably throw the mail away! 4951
