Soon KW Dr. will be reduced to 1 lane in either direction as they close one side to put in the new road, then the other side. And after that they will move 494 traffic to the new lanes and then tear up and remake the old ones and then KW Dr. will be reduced again.

this is why I never leave the Kingwood Dr / W. Lake Houston intersection, except for occasional trip to CVS and dry cleaner up front 4951

@JTKK : the last time they rebuilt the Pierce Elevated and when they widened the Katy Runway from the Loop to the Beltway 4951

They built 249 very quickly. I remember back in the late 90's it was just 2 lanes going south, and two going north. Compaq was built hella fast, and then 249 expanded just as quickly.

Must depend on how much money is involved. 4951
