I think Texas could haul in more money if vanity plates were less expensive, more vanity plates would be purchased. Virginia vanity plates were not that much more expensive than regular plates and it was fun looking at them and sometimes trying to guess what the plate meant.

@KM855 : But ... but ... but ... the politicians that own the prison vanity plate franchise need the money. I sure wish they'd give names on who owns or has stock in these different prison facilities!! I'm downright curious!!

@KM855 : My vanity plate donates money to women in need of lawyers, to fight abuse cases in court, so I do not mind contributing. Have had the same one for over 15 years now.

I like trying to guess the vanity plates. Saw one today that had Grandma on it so told DH I guess I won't be getting that one. ðŸ¤·ðŸ»â€â™€ï¸ðŸ˜‰

@KanKan : When I was in Ohio I tried for Gammy but that was taken. Since I had two grandsons I tried for Gammy2 but that was taken too. I ended ordering a custom frame that said "Nick's and Luke's on top and Gammy on the bottom. I had a vanity plate on one of the classic cars we owned.

I was told (correct me if I am wrong) that vanity plates are purchased for 5 years. Last time I looked it was maybe $500 +. Now if that is the case and it is good for 5 years (or do you renew every year?) and you would spend that much at least on the tag/sticker over 5 years of regular sticker.
