@Ruger5 : What other cut is in there? You need some fat in there somewhere!

@Reivax : Ghee - a ton of Ghee and high fat ground beef - oh, and just for kicks a little skirt steak. Never tried that before so we shall see.

@WTF : Have no clue what freezer burned chocolate tastes like. Maybe you do. You recommending it? 😆. The art of proper freezing is all important. I would be happy to teach you 😆

@Ruger5 :
Chocolate doesn't last long enough in my house to have to freeze it.

Ruger5 : Hold up…are you seriously just slapped the meat on your countertop?

@Lateralus : My granite countertop? Absolutely. Makes for easy prepping. If you aren't adept in the proper art of preparing countertop for prep work all kinds (and the cleaning up after) one might find it a bit off putting. It's the best when needing large surfaces such as the one pictured. Have you ever been to stone cold creamery? They mix their icecream concoctions right on top of cold granite. Gooood icecream!

Ruger5 : lol I have granite too and am aware of the risks associated. You are taking on extra risk of contamination when you prepare raw meat directly on the countertop. Regarding coldstone, the granite part doesn't influence the taste of the icecream beyond someone believing that it taste different because it was prepared differently.

@Lateralus : I am WELL aware of risk. We take risks with food contaminates every single day. While I can not vouch for the cleanliness of commercial food preppers or yours or anyone elses - I can most definitely vouch for the cleanliness of my kitchen - I'm 100% A OK with this - if you are not, you should not. 👍

@mutton : So true. My granny made bread off her wooden countertops and not one of her 15 kids died 😊. I couldn't imagine rolling out pie dough on anything but a clean floured granite countertop.
