TexasOma : Did you know several years ago Sonic pulled those ads with the guys and their sales took a huge hit? Crazy! I hate those commercials! But they apparently work! I watch a lot of the Hallmark channel and their commercials for their upcoming Hallmark movies are AWFUL! Same 3 commercials every commercial break. And they are the 30 second ones! My daughter mutes the tv lol. 👍🏼

@IzzysMommy : I watch the very old Perry Mason (and other really old TV) I have to have the noise, even if I am not totally watching the programs) The commercials are about 2 minutes long and they do them every 5 minutes. It's the Save the Children, Starving African Children, Support the ASPCA, St. Judes, Help I've Fallen and Can't Get Up, Buy a motorized stair chair, Step in bathtubs, and so many more.

There is also a "put this chemical on your face and look young - but fine print says the chemical wears off in just a few hours)- that is a 7 minute commercial - I've timed it!!!!!" I change the channel on that one if I don't have any fast forward left. And don't get me started on the Hammer & Hammer Jr. commercials - they wake me up with their screaming at the TV audience.

They make the commercials to tug at your heart strings so you will sign up and send money. But I record the Perry Masons on FETV and zip thru all the commercials. 4951

TexasOma : Plexaderm!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Longest commercial ever!!!

@IzzysMommy : Yes, that's it. And some of those people they use to promote that product need a ******* of the product and still wear a double thick sack over their head. 4951

TexasOma : I have a friend who ordered that crap (we all have 1 lol) She said it looked good for about 45 minutes.... which she was fine with! Hell, 45 minutes wouldn't even get me halfway through shopping at Kroger! And who the hell goes through that much trouble to shop for food!? If it worked for say, 6-8 hours, I could see using it for special occasions, parties, high school reunions lol. But in the end, it's all just false advertising on your part and on theirs.

@IzzysMommy : That's why they put it in the fine (super fine) print.....it's all false advertising.

There is a commercial for a diet pill with the athlete husband and strange looking wife. If you buy that pill, you will lose weight and look skinny like her, no exercise no nothing...just the pill. But if you read the find print, they recommend exercise and diet. AND they always have the disclaimer of 'results not typical'. I cannot remember the name of the pill or the couple....but they promise you will lose weight if you take these pills. It's really sad that people fall for that crap. 4951
