Has great reviews, all their knives do, however I like reviews from many before I can justify something like this for DH for Christmas.

@JandS89 : Never heard of them. Wusthoff and Henckels are considered top for many chefs, but I don't know what you are looking for. If it is true that that knife cuts through frozen meat like it is butter, as it says, I'd be petrified of it! LOL! A good 8 inch chefs knife can cost $200. I don't know what you're looking for. I just saw a review where the guy said he didn't like it all. That's putting it mildly for what he actually said.

I just checked out Consumer Reports and they rate the two brands I mentioned as the top two, and 4 and 5. Ginsu Chikara came in third.

Since kitchen remodel will finally be done before Christmas, I want to just a good set of knives. DH loves to grill so a stout knife for him would be great.
I am on the fence as to a knife blockâ€¦I watch so many crime dramas that I don't want to display knives so the can easily pick one on my counter. Lol
But just great quality basic knives that will last.
I'm going to check out the ones you mentioned.

@JandS89 : You're welcome! And thank you for the credits. A good knife takes some adjusting to! I only have one really good knife ... a Wusthoff! When I first got it, I was cutting veggies one night and cut all the way to the bone ... mine!

So never take a good knife for granted. It takes some getting used to the fact that you don't have to cut so hard with a good knife!
