I think I have mine memorized very well but I have to help my son do his research and remember all the names.

@Jeepinbear : Hubs and I were just talking about that when we took our ballots in to drop off, and what a pain it is to have to memorize everything to vote in TX!
Here in AZ about a month before voting a huge "book" comes to the house with all the propositions, local candidates and bonds specific to our address. Great explanations of what a yes or no votes means, endorsements for and against, candidate bios with their policies. The only ones they don't cover are the judges 🤷‍♂️. Just that they are qualified or not for the position they are running for. It's a great reference esp for people like hubs and I who vote for the candidate NOT a party.
Anyways I saw people in line with their books so apparently you can take them ( or notes) into the booth with you!! Here's the pic of ours

My son is autistic and he learns about who he wants to vote for or against. He's 28 and just the notion of going and voting is overwhelming for him. I have been taking him to vote with me since he was 2 years old. That book or even a list would just be helpful for him.

Oh, and they made a girl that was in line go turn her shirt inside out. I didn't get to see what was on it but she came out of the bathroom and the poll watcher told the line she was first because she had to do that.

Tuesday morning in New Caney; in line at 10:11 am, done at Noon. Got a bit warm standing in the sun, so bring water and an umbrella. Glad i wore shorts!

@Max57 : My parents did think about that. My father was loyal to one political party and my mother was loyal to the other political party. They both always voted, each determined to cancel out the vote of the other.
