@sweetie : I could be off on the time frame...it could have been last summer or even earlier:

I just remember the profile of the guy. At the time he was described as a black male and several of us regulars made specific comments as to his pants.

Remember? 4951

EleanorRigby : I would not do that. But blame the thief, not the victim.

@Aggies123 : You SHOULD be able to leave your stuff in your unlocked car in your own driveway, or anywhere else for that matter. But you CAN'T because other people in this world couldn't care less that your stuff is not their stuff. But they certainly DO take a huge chance of getting shot as they steal people's hard-earned stuff. I don't think they take that into consideration much. 4951

@Aggies123 : I blame the thief. But I am also sensible and don't leave my wallet in an unlocked vehicle in my driveway; the guy was not breaking into cars. He was only opening unlocked car doors. The easiest solution is to not make yourself a target. I think we can both blame the thief, and remind people to be smart at the same time. Or is there a waiting period? 4951

@Aggies123 :
I blame the victim for giving this thief a virtually effortless opportunity to steal. And I won't even call the victim a true victim since they pretty much did this to themselves.
Leaving your purse with credit cards in it in an UNLOCKED vehicle overnight. SMH 4951

IDK I've been around for 60years and my parents taught me toNOT leave anything in the car- not valuables, not trash- nothing. Here's what I have in my car- reusable bags do shopping and a blanket for the dogs to sit on.
We've been hit 3 times- 2x on my car- lol they got nothing. And once on hubs- they got an ancient gps ( I mean the first one ever made 🤣). Believe it or not he got it back- some chick in Atascocita had it and ran from the popo. Hubs had the registration and receipt for it ( the police laughed that he actually had that). And yes all 3 times the cars had been left unlocked - not any more. I don't blame the victims BUT I myself aren't going to make it easy for them 4951

@Jpgurl : Growing up in Houston, we locked our cars as far back as the early 70's, and as soon as I started driving my dad grilled me on not leaving anything of value in the car, not even my school back pack. 4951

Thin beard, hipster pants. Don't know him. For the love of God people, lock your vehicles.

@buffaloglenn : And I add: for Pete's sake people take the dang purse inside with you.. 4951

sweetie : Yes, there were several of us being the fashion police on the thread. I'll try to find it. The search feature on here isn't the best.

@teatime : I just tried. Yea the search is not great at all .. 4951
