Yep. I don't date technically, but not bc I don't want to, I just am not going online to do it. I don't trust that medium. I'm not desperate, highly independent and self sufficient and a full time working person so I'm busy. I'm also a loner in a lot of ways so I don't feel that ache a lot of single people feel. And I actually enjoy being away from what and who I was with. But I am open to an organic meetings or a person in my extended network. I've been asked out but so far it's a no for me thus far…I've also got trauma issues so the next guy I DO date will know these things:

I think it's easier for women to be alone. Men need the social gathering w their friends and family or companion.
I don't feel like I'm ever alone haha. But I do get lonely.

@Rolnwithmyhomie : They do and if you don't read very very carefully- you will pay for years!! Dd was led to believe that if you become married they will release you from the contract. Well she got married and they refused to release her- I mean seriously you have to be single to join. The marriage clause was there BUT you have to pay off the contract for them to release you. Ended up dinging her credit report( she blocked the automatic payments ( another reason I don't do auto pay for anything).

@Labslady : I started going down the rabbit hole of reviews and it seems like so many had the same problem your daughter did. What a shame. I hate doing auto pay too. I signed my son up at a gym last year. The girl who signed him up told me it was $40/month, but low and behold there were charging me $40 twice a month. They couldn't even show me where it showed that in the contract. My son actually only ended up going like 3 or 4 times because this was the end of 8th grade so he started doing all the camps and using K-Parks weight room. I went to cancel and they said nope....I was under contract for a year. Yet another ting they could not show me. After months of paying I finally just canceled the card they had on file. I know it's going to probably be on my credit, but I was so upset at their lies nd spending $80 a month for nothing.

@Rolnwithmyhomie : Yep gyms are the same way- AND I used to be in the fitness business!! The YMCAs are pretty decent fee wise - but the rest of them 🤬. I quit the gym I worked for when they went into lockdown. I had a free membership ( as an employee) and to this day they send me communications to me. I don't even bother- the finance office can't ever seem to get their dodo together

@Txbutterfly : I love to be alone and I have never had an issue with meeting people. Online dating smacks of desperation to me and not saying that to be offensive

@Govchance : there are a few of you that enjoy the single life @WTF does too. I know it's not all inclusive, we are all different.
I don't see myself married again. But I would enjoy someone to go out with besides my sister some days 😀
