@larpa : I remember one time in elementary we we at PE and had to run laps around the gym. I was wearing a dress and I guess the hem on my panties came out and they fell down to my ankles. A sweet girl running behind me rushed to me to help shield me and pull them up!

I was in an elevator many years ago, when a lady riding up with us had her bloomers descend gracefull to the floor. was she dismayed? Not a bit! bent over, stepped out of then, put them in her purse and exited with immense dignity at her floor. I felt like applauding, but in those days one was much more circumspect.BowWow!

@cbear : Kids today certainly don't know about Merthiolate or Mercurochrome. One stung, the other not so much and therefore was referred to by my brothers and I as "monkey blood." I remember when Bactine was marketed, but it was never a part of our first aid options. Our boo boos were always first washed with Ivory soap and water, which stung enough you didn't much notice the sting of the monkey blood, and seldom included a bandage. If it was bad enough, gauze and med tape was used and perhaps an ace bandage for a day or two. We didn't have bandaids.
