@Chiza : I have to be careful and watch for when they fledge so I don't let my old kitty outside while they're making their way to the green belt. 4951

@Chiza : You know...I'm not sure. I think I read that members of the brood might return, but I do know that I have a woodpecker mating pair that nests in a hollow tree behind the house every year. I love watching them bring their young ones to the feeder. 4951

@Chiza : My dad and grandmother were the same way, so I guess I get it from them! I had a pair of bluebirds at the feeder today. I think they are nesting at my neighbors' house. 4951

So fun @butterflygarden!!! I think I get it from mine as well...and like my Father and Grandmother, I try to point out all of the little creatures to my littles! It's fun to see it through their eyes too! My middle little is my nature lover right now...ever flower or weed he has to stop and smell...and then he picks them and brings them to me and tells me he got me something pretty!!! I need to stop and smell the 'roses' more... 4951

@Chiza : Aww, that is so sweet. My daughter called clover flowers bee flowers when she was little, and there are other white wild flowers that she called coconut flowers. We were taking a walk the other day to stretch our muscles after all the squatting, digging and planting, and she said, "Look Mom! Coconut flowers!" It melted my heart to hear her say that all these years later. Neither of us have any idea why she started calling them coconut flowers.
