Stealth83 : He is still double teamed every game though, which helps create opportunities for other defensive players. I never thought he was as great as some say he is or was but just my opinion. Was definitely a good football player but never was a Reggie White or Bruce Smith

@Tumu_ : He was and is one heck of a football player in my opinion. I understand what you say when comparing him to Reggie, The Minister of Defense, Reggie is on a whole other level but I think JJ is a huge difference maker on the field....and off. Like you said, you're double teamed and still trying to kick ***....sadly he has been injury prone which has had an incredible impact on his career...and statistical numbers. But when he is on the field, he is a force to be reckoned with. 4951

No big loss. Worst defense in the NFL and he wasn't making any difference. Trade him and try and get some picks. God knows BOB destroyed the future of this team...my only question is if he did it on purpose? 4951

I hope he goes back up north to Wisconsin and plays for the Packers to finish out his illustrious career in front of his true HOME TOWN fans.

@donnatella : Old news , rumors have been out for at least a month . The guy has given his all on and off the field to this town . The team stinks starting with the owner all the way down the line . He wants a shot at a title , and time is running out . He is not going to win one here . 4951

#1 I lost a lot of respect for him this year. But that's my personal opinion so it doesn't matter. #2 He is a tremendous talent and he deserves a shot at a ring. #3 He will NEVER get that ring here. #4 Time is ticking, age wise. He needs a team that can get him one in 5 years or less. His body is obviously not as healthy as it used to be. I'm thinking Green Bay or Chicago. His wife plays in Chicago so that's why I put that out there. I hope he does go and I hope he gets a much deserved ring. This team is garbage and it will take YEARS to rebuild from the Kubiak ********.

@IzzysMommy : I think his brothers play in Chicago also ? 4951

@donnatella : The boy deserves a Ring. I love him, and all he has done for our City, but he gets One career, it wont last forever is hard on a body, and he has the devotion to help win a Super Bowl, on a good team. Hoping he can move to live full time with his pretty wife. Have had the pleasure of meeting them both, and they are just Sweet people! 4951

Tumu_ : Reggie White was an awesome player, but Bruce Smith? Did you see Superbowl XXVIII, Cowboys vs Buffalo? First offensive play for the Cowboys, Larry Allen threw Smith on the ground like a rag doll. JJ Watt is twice the player Bruce Smith was. JJ's tenure as an elite defensive player is just about over, but he did a lot for football and a lot for Houston.

@KnwdGent : Larry Allen did that to everyone except White, and would have broken Watt as well. He was a beast. Bench record - 705lbs and 905lbs on squat. And the guy on the other side, Erik William (mean SOB) was the only one who could completely dominate White. White hated having to go against Williams. 4951

I do not care about football but it would be nice to have a winning team. JJ does give back and all.... and he is not my type, but he sure is not bad to look at.

Sure don't blame him for wanting to better himself though. 4951
