I still don't understand Temu. I get an offer for a great deals on Temu, but when I go to order one, any of the other "deals" go to a higher price. AND if I only want that one item, it won't complete my order unless I meet a minimum.

@lynnie0524 : You know all of those "what kind of flower would you be?" "you get a point for every one of these experiences you have had" (skydiving, scuba diving, etc the list goes on). Those fun little questions open 'backdoor' to the company that owns the app/download, and they can then access the information on your phone. When you play , that is agreeing to their terms, to give them that access. So, don't open and 'play' those, either. Emoticon There is SO much internet 'piracy'.

@SummerSneeze :
Scammers are everywhere. Just yesterday I was alerted my Charles swabs account has been frozen, my Netflix was locked due to payment, my....my, my how they fish. I monitor everything and so does my dh. Lol neither one of us can get away with swiping and not telling. No need.
Any time you swipe your card, hand it over, or some other poke it's jeopardized and ya take a chance. Been happening since the start of humanity. Any thing you have somebody wants.
I am not living in fear of everything but I also never let any company store my info. Not purposely.

@LittleTexas : Which is exactly why I don't do those. Regardless, from what I have seen, TEMU has a bad reputation, compromises people's internet security, and in many cases sells inferior products, all while supporting the economy of the CCP. While it has become nearly impossible not to buy from China, especially with Amazon, there is still a direct risk to using apps like TEMU. There are countless videos on YouTube from customers who have been ripped off by TEMU and similar companies. Just my opinion, and just my response to the conversation.

@LittleTexas :
Even here. What do you collect? How many dogs do you have?
What's your cross streets?
Do you use insert bank?
As far as many know, I'm a poor orphan. My parents were killed in a plane crash when I was young. I was an only child. They were only children.
Nobody needs to know too much about me. I told my dh, from now on when we go out and people ask my name, I'm gonna say Judy, just Judy no last name. I'm not looking to be besties.

@mellen : I appreciate that. I have probably stated fifteen to twenty times since I have talked about Temu over the past few months that I do not use the app nor do I intend to use the app. The article you sent questions the Temu App, not Temu per se as in the title that was incorrectly quoted. The article also says it cannot substantiate any claims of malware involvement. So I am listening, but until it is proven otherwise, I will still buy from them. There is no retail business of this genre that I think has more or less integrity.

I've bought from TEMU on several occasions over the past few months...Most items were great values....I did have a couple of things that weren't as "quality" as I thought they would be but were still functional and "as described"....The most recent item I bought from them was a Playstation 2 "replacement laser head"....I paid under $9 for it when Amazon and others wanted over $20....Now, I did have to wait about 10-14 days for it to arrive but I had no problem with that considering the savings...

Overall, I'll say that they have some quite dominating prices on many items they sell...But buyers need to read the "user reviews" on items in order to fully judge the values....

I have purchased from Temu and haven't been disappointed. But I am cautious in what I buy and read the reviews. I purchased a couple of tops from Amazon and I really liked them. They were basically Tshirts but with a bit more tailoring that brought them up a notch. They came in so many colors and I purchased 3 from Amazon at $28 each.

I wanted to order more and did a google picture search and found the exact same shirts on Temu for $12. They were exactly the same.

Most of the things on Amazon are made in China anyway and if you aren't in a hurry so can often find the same product for half the price on Temu.

I wouldn't buy high end items from them but for casual clothing items, scrub brushes, plastic storage bins, birthday party favors, etc. they offer great prices.

They do spam you with emails so I suggest you use a throw away account or one you use just for these kinds of things. Just do homework and read the measurements etc before buying. For example, most Chinese sizes run small compared to the comparable American size but the reviews will usually give good size insight.

@NeenaC0629 : I am sorry to hear that. This is my most recent purchase from Temu ... the flowers in my arrangement!

I have bought a stainless steel spatula for icing cakes, and molds for making candles ...

Now I just just have to learn how to keep the bubbles out of my soap. A lot of the craft materials I have been making my recently posted Christmas ornaments from come from there.

I have had 2 or 3 things that I was intending to return for quality issues, and they said keep them, and gave me a credit in less than a minute which I requested instead of a refund. And two of those were bad due to the packaging or postal service, don't know which.

@BrendaT : Pretty! My sis won't look at Temu yet she repeatedly asks me, "Where did you get that?" and I say Temu. I share my stuff with her. She is a quilter and had a fit over the tiny clips that hold quilt squares together. Temu has so many notions and gadgets that she would like...
Recently I've bought steam mop covers and they look the same as the ones that came with the steam mop. Tomorrow some solar garden lights are coming....

@teatime : That's great. I do wish Temu would list the fabric content on clothes.
