In store shopping isn't the same experience as it once was. People trash what's in the store, you shop on a pivot because of ******s. Nobody puts your purchases in pretty bags and boxes like back in the day. There are no personal shoppers, lol you are lucky to find a salesperson.
I miss getting dressed, going to town, and having a bunch of pretty bags and boxes to come home with. Now everything is wadded up and shoved in plastic bags.
Lol my temu cart is full right now. I normally fill it and wait for one to be delivered. I too wish they would put it in a box, but it comes on ships in massive shipping containers. Bundles fit better than boxes. I've had some torn bundles, but nothing was ever missing.
I recently bought a large poster. Expected it to be paper. Omg it's on canvas and needs professional mounting, it's beautiful.
I also compare shop and have gotten great deals.

@beadweaver : A poster on canvas. That's wild! Well, I personally have a lot of fun shopping on there and I occasionally used Google's Image search and so far, only once found it cheaper elsewhere. Yeah, I remember you talking about shopping when you were young and it brought some good memories back for me too! Well, life changes.

I wish manners and sophistication would come back. Where women dressed their best and men dressed in slacks. When I met my dh the first thing he noticed about me is that I always dressed to the nines. Even for a desert drive, I dressed my best. Once asked why, I responded..... if I die today, this will be my ghost outfit. The next day she came in dressed to the nines instead of sweat clothes or her raggy shorts. I asked where she was going? Nowhere, what you said yesterday stuck. I don't want to be an ugly ghost. Lol

@Ruger5 : You will lose your ever lovin' mind shopping on Temu. Shipping takes a little longer because it's coming from overseas, but if you plan ahead , it's not an issue. Also, it's not for quick shopping. Get a drink get comfy and plan to surf a while.

I want to dress for church, but no one does that anymore either, not even the pastors!And I am thinking to myself, "Would I dress up for a meeting with some important politician? Yes, I would do it out of respect for their position."So why don't people dress up to go to church anymore. I think God is important.And I LOVE dressing up for a party, but people don't want to do that either, or for a special dinner night on a cruise.I WANNA DRESS UP!

@Ruger5 : Just make sure you use PayPal and not your credit or debit card. The extra protection is worth the fee extra steps.

@beadweaver : Yes, I was talking to someone the other day and they were saying there was a restaurant that had the system down. They would take the card, run downstairs to a specific store, buy the items and then return them for cash later. Then go back upstairs and give the customer their check.What you don't want to do is give them you bank and routing number. Then you have to close the account vs just getting a new card.

@BrendaT : You should dress up if you want to. Don't worry about what everyone else is doing. Churches have gone casual to make people more comfortable and be more welcoming. A lot of businesses have gone to "dress for your day" so it depends on whether you have meetings etc.

@donnatella : Well crap I've never used pay pal. I never trusted it……but vast majority love it. A friend just had her bank account drained through paypal. She was made whole - eventually - and the bank waived the few bounced check fees that resulted. Well darn.

@BrendaT : I shop Temu all the time. They just cut out the middle man. Just have to spend $10 to get free shipping. Love the free gifts that pop up. They offer so many little things that would be hard to find anywhere else. I didn't put the app on my phone....just shop from my laptop. It is sort of addictive....but I enjoy it!

@donnatella : Well, thank you, that makes me feel better. But I don't want people to think I'm being snobbish by dressing up too much, so I just wear nice pants and top instead.

You are so right. I dress for me. Screw how sloppy everyone else looks. The only reason people that dress stand out is because they are surrounded by people that don't give a **** about their appearance. When I'm dressed, I feel fabulous. That is the only thing that matters.
