No- the high would need to weaken and move East.

@Labslady : I sure don't need the "high" to do anything. It's movement has given me a raging migraine headache. Just please send us some nice rain - no high winds, tornadoes or anything dangerous that comes with this system.

FRIDAY 4AM UPDATE:

The latest Hurricane Beryl advisory is in from the National Hurricane Center.

HURRICANE BERYL
CATEGORY 2
WINDS 110MPH
GUSTS 130MPH
WNW @ 15MPH.

This storm is down to a Cat 2, but once it gets into the Gulf, it should have no problem getting back up to major hurricane status.

Anywhere from Brownsville all the way to Port Lavaca should be paying attention.

LOCAL RAIN TOTALS

This storm is down to a Cat 2, but once it gets into the Gulf, it should have no problem getting back up to major hurricane status. @Mimilane : The models show it shifted big time â€¦â€¦.it could only get worse I would think. I wanted the outer perimeter's of a dirty side â€¦â€¦.not the worst of one. Now Houston has a problem.
