5am TUESDAY UPDATE BERYL CAT 5 165mph winds 200+ gusts. Alright guys. The track has curved a bit more to the north overnight with the northern part of the cone closer to the TX/MX border which is not what we want to see. *I love & trust Space City but I'm not convinced yet that this will stay south of Texas, esp with some of these newer models so I felt the need to remind everyone that we are not out of the woods. *It will move very close to Jamaica on Wednesday afternoon and eventually Cancun by early Friday morning. *It will cross into the southern Gulf on late Friday night and/into Saturday morning. ❗ I'm not saying this to create unnecessary fear. I wish I had a crystal ball but I don't. We probably won't know until late on Thursday what this thing will do once it enters the Gulf. To explain the WHY a little better - Beryl will be guided by a high pressure system in Alabama: -IF the high pressure system WEAKENS, then it will turn more to the north towards Texas. -IF the high pressure system HOLDS firm over the SE, it will stay on the west heading, to our south. (Into Mexico) ❗ AGAIN - I am saying this so you don't ignore this storm quite yet.

Ruger5 : Lol I've been through quite a few storms too- hotter than hades within 12 hours after it passes! Yea it was cool during IKE- had to get the dogs out during the Eye- but as soon as it passed- HOT!!Except Harvey- because it rained for 6 days then it stopped.
