@HappyDay2016 : I sure am not! But a squirrel might hit the spot. My dad who is 84 says his grandmother made the best squirrel dumplings. I'm sure it would be better then crickets!

@Chiza : I have never had it far as I know. I was blessed to know my great grandmother and she did cook for us so if I did have it no one told me what it was.

@Chiza : Had that as a child - we had squirrel season just as we had deer season. Haven't had that in at least 25-30 years.

You'd enjoy it @TEXASGIRLMAMMA...and they might have snuck it in without telling you! Some people frown at the thought of eating a squirrel...but not I! We grew up on tons of wild game!!!!
