Hit and Run while at Kingwood Bagel. Thank you I think??? Went into Kingwood Bagel about an hour ago to pickup breakfast. While in the store our Cadillac was hit by a white SUV. Female driver got out wearing a black and red top to look at the damage. They left a note and cash but no number. Thankfully the homeless guy that walked up to me while I was looking at the damage and note did not take the cash while I was in KB. I am sure the damage will be more than what was left. One of the restaurants is pulling their video footage. Careful out there Kingwood.

@jonton2 : Bumpers cost around $2000 to repair. It could be buffing and match paint but if it is cracked much more difficult to repair.

Wow maybe it was their grocery money and they were afraid of cameras around the place and needed to clear their conscience, but seriously who carries that kind of cash these days, that is just looking to be robbed IMHO.

I once fell on my way out of the donut shop and misalligned my car kind of like the picture of yours. I asked my Honda mechanic and he fixed it during my next oil change. Didn't cost me anything.

jonton2 : My deductible alone is $500. The damage is thankfully minimal but I'd absolutely get it taken care of. What's the point of having nice things if you don't take care of them? Sorry this happened to you. Hope you're able to get it sorted with footage.

@Heathur : You're concerned about the value of your car, but not the value of your home (ie: "Five Below" thread)? I am not upset that we disagree about the Five Below, just pointing out incongruences.

@BrendaT : I work hard to have nice things so I take care of them. At the same time I do not think I'm too good for stores like Five Below, Aldi, Dollar Tree, etc. and actually like them. Someone said earlier on a different post that many people with money got that way by being frugal. Posting about a store that's already going in isn't going to change the fact that it's going in. I'd rather see a Five Below than an empty space, and I like saving money. It is what it is.

I like saving money, Heather. I am limited in my income like many. I also do not want to lose value in my home investment, just as you are concerned about your car. I just prefer to see stores equivalent to the home values surrounding the area. I am not asking for Neiman Marcus to move in. But with Dollar Tree next door, it makes it appear the area is deflating in value. I like to protect home values. There is nothing wrong with that.

This is exactly the thread when Aldi came to town! Everyone crying how it was going to devalue Kingwood! Now you can't find a parking space or a cart! What I don't understand about your disparaging posts, is that you are not even a resident. Maybe the Atascocita lane would be better for you! I'll take those $5 beach towels any day!

@jonton2 : Hope you get it fixed to your satisfaction.
Looks like some touch up paint and Armor All will make that disappear. I backed my car into a telephone poll ....bumper sunk in a few inches. Bumper popped back out a few days later. I ordered a bumper protector to sit on top of the bumper so the crease wouldn't show.
