@eighteen : Why actually I do and am proud to bear the wounds. You see, I don't have the time or patience for people with negativity. I am absolutely a 100% Disabled Veteran that fought for their right to be jerks! People like them are the reason folks do not report crimes or engage in anything that is in their best interests. I hope they enjoy their freedom, on the dime of me, my brothers and sisters! We are not suckers!!

@eighteen : I sent an email to the reporter to see if they will help get these items to their rightful owners. It is funny that the owner of the snowman told his daughter the same thing the lady in the news story said that "the grinch stole her snowman". The perp in the news story appears to be an adult Black male. The juveniles that stole the items, in this case, are between the ages of 15 and 16 White males and one Hispanic male. Thank you for helping get these items back to their owners.

It works for us and all that is needed are neighbors that are willing to engage in communicating about issues that are detrimental to the safety and security of each other. There is no vigilante mentality and we don't hunt down people. What we do is notify the proper authorities. Good luck!

@mutton : You shouldn't feel bad for asking a question, a very relevant question, that many of us (I'm sure) thought about immediately. He should feel bad for assuming that your question was accusatory in the first place and then reacting the way he did.

The relevancy of that question would be from the victim who has a valid reason to know and if you are not the victim, then it is none of your business. I still have some thicker skin in the back if you need some. The military nor the police department issued me feeling, sooo!

@JoseV : Seems like you're the one in need of thicker skin.
You post on a public forum, you're gonna get questions and feedback. If you don't like it, don't post. To immediately turn hostile is counter-productive.
And don't say you don't care, because if you didn't you wouldn't have posted and responded back in the first place.
