Confused on this 8' rule.Â There isnt a garage in Kingwood that isnt over 8 feet.

@kingwooddiscgolf: It is not the garage that cannot be over 8' , it is any building erected in the backyard of a residence such as a storage shed etc...

Bear Branch Village has some architectural firstsÂ thanks to the "brilliant" people that serve on the board who have exemplified their ignorance theyÂ alsoÂ wear proudly on their sleeves. This isn't the first architectural abortion they have approved. On River Lawn is the "fire station, a two story garage and apartment stained redwood red. Then their is the Taj Mahal on Lost Lake withÂ ugly architecture that doesn't blend with the other homes. And now, their approval and the granting of a variance for the Taxi Garage on Sandy Fork.I ask myself whyÂ does this board have no taste or considerationÂ whatsoever! Why are they so concerned with the height of lawns etc. but yet allow a structure to be built that is totally out of line with the deed restrictions and does not blend with the neighborhood architecture!I am going to the next BBCAÂ monthly meeting and ask for their resignation. We can't go on with the people that serve on this board.

@kingwooddiscgolf: Â Not my rule but obviously it does not have to be followed so to me it no longer makes a difference. Â Just ask for a variance....

That's what I was thinking too. Apparently @wrenchy61 has never been to Oakhurst or Woodridge Forest. There are no add-ons in my neighborhood. What's going on with that home in BB is closer to the some of the structures seen in forest cove and I'm pretty sure that's Kingwood, not Porter. 4951

I'd kinda hoped this board was going to take the high road on this.

If y'all are going to turn into the folks on that other board and start accusing him of running drugs out of his house, operating a Jiffy Lube (I think that one was at least a joke) or start accusing the owner of being a godless redneck...ALL of which I've read over there, just go post it on that hateful clique based site & leave this one alone.

Honest, calm discussion is great. But the rest is just mean & hateful & pointless.

Try going & talking to the owner. He's not a scary or dangerous man. If you aren't satisfied, go run for the HOA. Otherwise, I can't see where any of this is helping anyone. 4951
