Cstomio123 : You can always give something to the child. The child is an innocent. If you don't want to give to mom, you can buy a kids meal or something to ensure the child eats.

@J2911 : You can't give cash to a child, you give cash to the parent. They in turn spend it on whatever desperation sent them to the streets with their child, usually drugs, cigarettes, or alcohol.

@MissAmericanPie : Loitering is being in a place with no discernable purpose, she clearly has a purpose. Begging/soliciting/panhandling are legal activities and mostly protected constitutional activities. I see no child abuse. The child seems to be dressed properly for the elements.

I understand folks don't like these people doing this, but there really isn't anything the police can do about it, as they enforce laws and not feelings.

The real problem is people like you who think you're cool defending it. And the cops who also KNOW it's a scam/lie but chose to do nothing about it.

Cstomio123 : She will be out there until she has enough money for dinner and monthly rent. And if she does really well, she'll be back tomorrow so she can earn enough to pay the monthly car note.

@buffaloglenn : I have seen her and the little girl out in that area before. She keeps going back so it must pay off. I consider this to be child abuse.

@MissAmericanPie : Once again this leads to the question, what would you have the cops do about it? They can't invent laws to enforce though some do try to.

It does appear this person is on private property, which means she may be trespassing. If she was asked to leave by the property owner or an agent thereof and refused to leave, then a crime has been committed that cops can do something about
