Ruger5 : But here's the thing. There will always be people willing to donate to someone financially in return for whatever conviction they may have about giving. Think churches. People collectively give billions a year because they are convicted to do so for the most part. And, let's be real, you have no clue what the church elders are appropriating 100% of this money to. But people still give. I don't think it's a misguidance issue. I think if you're convicted to give, give. If not, don't. Very simple.
@J2911 : I agree with giving but there are right ways to give that doesn't encourage allowing this behavior. Those poor children, OMG. Those seeking help without street begging know where to go - why encourage dangerous, embarrassing behavior? Parents even have teenagers at their side when begging at that parking lot for god sakes. And trust me, the teenagers dont look like they want to be there.
People are free to give as ignorantly as they choose but I will always encourage the better ways of living by your conviction to give. The bible's plan for giving is pretty solid, imo.
