Ducatisti : Are those free range eggs? The problem is some people that can and will pay those kind of prices ruin it for everyone. I never bu my eggs there though.

@chasinghosts : I tried to put regular, generic large eggs in my cart and it wanted me to agree to any substitution up to a price of $6.50/dozen. No way on earth I was going to do that unless it included an egg laying hen with every purchase. 4951

@buddyboy : Not fresh fruits. Our oranges come from Florida and California. Our pears don't come from china either. Usually our stuff that comes from china are our roots, like ginger but they mostly come from Mexico. 4951

@Babieborris : you are right fresh is different. It would be rotten by the time it got here. Even the major brand canned fruit is from USA. However, the kroger brands fruit are products of china. 4951

I went to Kroger on W Lake Houston 2 days ago and paid .99 each for medium avocados. Today after Blue Angel's I went into the one on 59 and the same avocados were 3/$5! 4951

@chasinghosts : Actually only a couple of the shrimps are from Indonesia. They do have wild Texas shrimp, frozen wild gulf shrimp, shrimp from the Keys and shrimp from Argentina. Also their fresh gulf shrimp is caught from their own HEB boats. The most popular are their easy peel shrimp which is from Indonesia. I think it's cause it is the cheapest and it's easy peel. 4951

@veromon26 : I saw that. I ordered nearly $50 of some basic groceries and get hit with a charge. I said, no thanks I'm going to order from kroger instead. 4951
