Do you notice when you buy a brand new wire wheel and you put it on the grinder it vibrates the damn table off the floor well I had to figure out how to balance these things I bought this grinder for me to be mainly a wire wheel and when I put the wire wheels on it vibrated so bad it just it was unbelievable so I looked online and they had wheel balancer's that were like $109 and I thought to myself I said self I've got a propeller balancer for a model airplane so let's try that I put that on mark the high spot messed around with different weights of washers and quarter 20 bolts till I got the right balance to where it would not move every 90° it would stay put I put it on the grinder and started it up bomb dead smooth! I love it when things work out.." 4951
Had to grind a flat on the washer to fit...took about 20 minutes of fiddling changing out washers to fit....dead smooth...instead of locktight i am going to deliberately squash the threads flat so the nut cant loosen fly off and put another ventilation hole in my head 4951
you sure it isnt the grinder? I had a few that were awful had to return them. If its the wheel send that sucker back too. How do you like the belt sander?
@Lateralus : Grinder dead nutz smooth with no wheels and runs great.
Wheels are easy to balance just drill out material on the heavy side as required. On a new wheel I always "ring them out"...occasionally you do get a dud. Grindstones are cast and not always consistant irregardless of the brand

@Ray : Just curious why do you want to grind your bench. Much cheaper to just buy mulch. 4951
