Giving Machine 2022

Houston has been selected to be the first host city in Texas for a Giving Machine in 2022, joining 27 other international host cities. If you work or will visiting downtown, consider stopping by the Giving Machine which will be located at 409 Travis (Bravery Chef Hall- Near Market Square), Houston 77002. Nov.22 - Jan. 2.

A Giving Machine is like a vending machine-but instead of buying a snack for yourself, you're buying a milk goat for a family in a developing country, or 100 polio vaccines, or lunches for a homebound senior, or swim lessons for an Afghan refugee woman, or 30 meals for someone in need, or other similar options. You get to choose, just like a vending machine! There are options locally as well as internationally.

Last year 300,000 people donated over $5.8M to 49 charities by purchasing an item from
Giving Machines placed around the world. 100% of the donations go to the cause that you select.

Food - yes
Clothing - yes
Housing - yes

@luannski : I understand. That wouldn't the option that I chose either. But there are many other options in the machine. That was just one example. Did you watch the video to see what some people had chosen?

@sweetie : Our daughter lives in Las Vegas and her family has used the Giving Machine for several years to donate to unique things. I think it would be cool to donate funds for someone to buy a goat or chickens or fish to raise.

Samaritans purse also does various things you can choose where your donation goes. Water wells, clothing, houses etc. They do the Christmas shoe box for children also.
