I haven't heard of this food zone, have you been? Is it pretty nice with seating available?
@HappyDay2016 : They paved the parking relatively recently and did a fun paintjob on all the curbs. Big mix of trucks. It's often quite crowded on weekends these days. 1314 near the Sorters light.
I've been to Chicken Headz (pricey but good - you can split the 3rd Coast Slammers between two people, which makes the price more reasonable. Super crispy, tasty. I'm planning to get there some Tuesday to try their birria tacos; pics look great.) Also the Cajun truck, which was out of some things when I got there near close one evening. The gumbo was good but not exceptional, especially for the price.
The taco truck up at the front had chilaquiles as a breakfast special when I was last there a few months ago - those were great. Family reported their breakfast tacos were good but not as good as our usual favorite Freddy's (59 feeder just south of 1314).
ETA - The truck park is owned by the Flores family, of Tacos Flores in Humble. www.facebook.com/thefoodzonetx , and several of the individual trucks have their own facebook pages, tho there's never been as centralized a listing as seems rational. 4951
