Five Below coming to KW

I've never been in a Five Below. Is it similar to a dollar tree store?

@goldie : Kind of, but with a much less depressing vibe. They usually have lots of fun stuff for kids (toys, games, art supplies) that are nicer than what you find at the dollar store. The stores are also better kept.

I went to one, just out of curiosity. Was not a fan so I haven't been back. If I had young kids and needed stocking stuffers for them, then I might like it. I don't so I don't.

SteveT : We just saw that sign when we went to Aldi's! That may impact Dollar Tree. I am not happy with the quality of stores coming to the front of Kingwood. I miss Palais Royal and Steinmart.

@ZMAN : Palais Royal I didn't mind as much, my mom liked them, but Steinmart was most definitely senior coded. They were overpriced and their inventory was dated.

I'm pretty sure the company that owned Palais royal also owned peebles and both closed a lot of stores. My aunt worked at the one in my hometown for a decade before it closed.
